Lower Saxony Stud Farm was founded in Celle by Duke Georg II of Hanover on 27 July 1735 and is one of the city's major attractions.
The stallions at home at the stud farm have sired many internationally famous racehorses.
The annual stallion parades that take place in September are a special experience. The parade's traditional highlights include History on Wheels, Hungarian Post, Liberty Dressage and the Dressage Quadrille.
