• Within a few minutes walking distance you reach the famous monastery Wienhausen and the historical village centre with the wooden bell tower from the 14th century, the water mill and the old granary (today Kulturhaus and Tourist-Information). The small island with the wedding house enchants with its charm.
  This ensemble also includes a hotel with a nice café, where you can have a good and rich breakfast (by appointment), but also enjoy coffee and delicious cakes. The nearby restaurants offer tasty regional dishes and the beer from our own brewery is tasty and well-tolerated.
  
  Shopping facilities for daily needs are in the immediate vicinity.
  
  The traditional markets take place 4 times a year: Easter and Christmas market, as well as two garden events in the charming scenery of the country estate Wienhausen.
  
  In the centre of Oppershausen (approx. 1 km) is the Maria Magdalenen Chapel with its wooden hand-painted ceiling and barrel vault from the 17th century. The "Vorwerk" at Gut Oppershausen offers a wide range of attractive concerts, readings and other events.
  
  Another highlight in the joint municipality of Flotwedel is the "Flot-Art". The cultural festival takes place every two years. Locals open their courtyards and estates so that various artists can present themselves there.
