St. Mary's Church is located at the beginning of Bahnhofsstraße in Bröckel. It belonged to the parish of Wienhausen until the parish of Bröckel became independent in 1215. A small highlight of the church is the painting "The Sermon on the Mount", which was designed by the Wienhausen painter Herbert Blasek. The church building is part of a park-like complex, which also includes the listed sexton's house, vicarage and vicarage barn.
ST. MARIEN CHURCH

The St. Marien Church is located at the beginning of Bahnhofstraße in Bröckel. It belonged to the parish of Wienhausen until the independence of the parish of Bröckel in 1215.

THE CHURCH BUILDING

The choir is the oldest part of the church and was built before 1215 in Romanesque style. The round arches are still clearly visible here. The complete nave was completed in the 13th century. In 2002 the organ was renovated by Roman West. The lavabo behind the altar (cleaning basin) for the Communion utensils (vasa sacra) also dates from Romanesque times and goes back to the tradition of the Cistercians.

A small highlight of the church is the painting "The Sermon on the Mount", which was designed by the Vienna painter Herbert Blasek.

The tradition of the Cistercians is also reflected in the simple roof rider. The church tower and bells were dispensed with. Beautifully painted windows adorn the St. Marien church and let the rooms shine in a friendly light.

The church building belongs to a park-like complex in which the listed sexton's house, parsonage and parish barn are also located.
