The municipality of LANGLINGEN

The Aller-Radweg takes you to the tranquil municipality of Langlingen. It is located south-east of Celle and belongs to the municipality of Flotwedel.

Langlingen includes the once independent and still heavily agricultural villages of Hohnebostel, Wiedenrode and Nienhof/Neuhaus, as well as the farms "Im Kohlen".

VISITORS

In Langlingen, you can discover many a gem that will enchant you.

There is the Village Museum Langlingen, a local history museum. Housed in an old granary dating back to 1722, it gives you an insight into rural life and crafts of the past. You can visit everything from the "Greithen Hüs" (an old farmhouse), granary, hallway and göpelhaus to the adjoining herb garden on various special days and by appointment.

Another point worth seeing on your journey through Langlingen is St. Johanniskirche, which was built in 1335. During renovation work in the 1990s, a sky full of angels was unexpectedly uncovered on the vaulted ceiling, delighting church visitors.

Next to the church is the quaint and tranquil Mylius Manor, whose history dates back to the 13th century.

The AllerHaus is a further enrichment for the village, its residents and visitors. Concerts and readings are offered here on a small scale. Markets such as the "Kost-Nix Markt", "Alles um Tisch und Bett" or the "Langlinger Adventsmarkt" take place at irregular intervals.  In the winter months from November to March, there is a regular coffee bar on the 1st Sunday of the month where volunteers offer home-baked cakes.

On every 2nd Friday of the month, there is also an open-air coffee bar.

The aim of this house is to "bring people together" with every activity that is offered there.
