The fieldstone church "Ole Kerk", built in 1353, has already celebrated its 650th anniversary. Throughout the centuries, the Christians of Bisping met here to worship. At the beginning of the 20th century, a major problem arose: this old fieldstone church could no longer hold the entire Sunday congregation, despite the galleries that existed at the time. A painting in the entrance area gives an impression of the design of the church at that time.
So the "large church" was built in 1908. It now bears the name "St. Antonius Church". The bronze baptismal font from 1406, the pulpit from 1648, the altarpiece and the communion vessels have "migrated" to this newly built church.
Welcome!
