Müden (Örtze): Restaurant Schäferstuben at Niemeyers Romantik Posthotel

Alexander Niemeyer, who runs the hotel in the 5th generation, and his team cook for their guests at the highest level. The multiple Gault Millau awards with 13 points bear witness to this, as do the glowing faces of their regular guests after a culinary treat.

A symbiosis between regional heath cuisine and decent haute cuisine

The menu features game from local forests as well as top-quality products from the USA. The good heath potato is just as much a part of the menu as the Heidschnucke from the Tewes farm in Schmarbeck. In winter, guests look forward to a roast goose from the Schulze farm in the neighboring municipality.

The careful service staff led by Lars Jessen look forward to serving the dishes professionally and charmingly. The restaurant manager knows his way around the in-house wine cellar, which is located in the historic vaulted cellar. There is a corresponding wine for every taste.

Traditional and seasonal events round off the offer at the Posthotel. For 20 years, guests have been looking forward to the kitchen party, which takes place in spring. Skillfully and with a lot of love for the products, they are cooked and explained in front of the guests. A wide variety of dishes are presented on small plates for tasting. One taste explosion after another follows. No question of the guests remains unanswered.

Anyone who walks from the historic village center through the hotel into the garden will be enchanted. Balmy summer evenings under the open sky with mighty old oak trees in view - this is what pure relaxation feels like. A good breakfast or a festive evening menu round off a relaxing day. Between courses, take a stroll through the garden towards the Lührnhof. Make sure you have a glass of wine with you, because on the way back you can take a seat on the bench in front of the old staircase - a wonderful change of scenery.
