The observation tower in Hösseringen is one of the few observation towers in the Lüneburg Heath and allows a wide view over the Suderburger Land.
Those who climb the 180 steps up to the viewing platform can enjoy wonderful views of the Suderberg countryside from a height of 32 metres. The tower serves as an aerial mast for various cell phone networks and has a total height in excess of 40 metres.
4 signposted hiking routes with lengths varying from 3.1 to 8.4 km start directly from the tower and lead to excursion destinations such as the museum village of Hoesseringen or Lake Hardausee.
You can obtain map excerpts and information about the hiking routes from the Tourist Information Office or your hosts.
The routes are also available as GPS files on the Suderburger Land website.
