Seevetal has become famous in botanical circles because of the snake’s head fritillary, a botanical rarity that grows in Seevetal (flowering April / May).

The Seeve cycle path along the river Seeve opens up the scenic beauty of the region and is a tourist highlight in the North Heath.

One of the main attractions of the area is Horster Mill, dating from 1529.

The Heideshuttle, the free tourist bus during the high season, also stops in Seevetal. This gives you access to the heathland of Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve.

The Laurens Spethmann Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft (tea producer) has its headquarters in Seevetal; the East Frisian specialty tea thus comes from Lüneburg Heath.
