The wine from the Lüneburg Heath
In Groß Thondorf near Himbergen, the Alvermann family grows wine on four hectares. The farm has planted around 20,000 vines, and they re thriving on the balanced soils of the Lüneburg Heath. Monika and Jan Alvermann farm ecologically and sustainably out of conviction and produce the wines in excellent organic quality.
Five white and two red grape varieties ensure diversity in the organic wines. There are ten wine varieties in total. In addition, seasonal Federweisser in red and white as well as first natural wines. The high quality wines are available at a fair price in the farm shop, from various partners or delivered directly to your home by order.
The Alvermann family regularly offers farm tours, wine tastings and ready-packed rucksacks with packed lunches, route descriptions and information for a hike through the Witt vineyards.
